At Cytec we recognise the importance of CSR in giving back to our local communities and maintaining good morale amongst our workforce. As a small business, we aim to do our bit by committing to a sustainable programme of initiatives to address economic, social and environmental concerns.
We have launched a number of initiatives in 2023, with Melanie and Kevin Lane kicking off the ‘Litter picking’ earlier this year.
In October and November we had staff volunteering at The Felix Project, a brilliant food redistribution charity in London fighting food waste and hunger. Our team of volunteers worked from the charity’s biggest kitchen in Poplar to sort, prepare, wash, chop, pack and load food, to be distributed across London.
We have also just started our weekly ‘Couch to 5k’ runs in the office. Our more experienced runners are pairing up with those for whom running is a new experience and helping to support them as they start their journey to running a full 5k!
