The Lane family recently spent some quality time in one of the local parks, litter picking and committing their own time to give something back to their local community.
As those with families, and more specifically those with teenagers (!) will know, it seems the amount of time spent outdoors is becoming more and more limited. Taking advantage of one of Cytec’s social and environmental initiatives allowed Melanie Lane (Office Manager) and Kevin Lane (Relationship Manager) to not only make a difference within their local community, but also make a positive impact on their wellbeing through exercise and fresh air!
Cytec recognises the importance of its Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) and has committed to several sustainable initiatives to address economic, social and environmental concerns. This includes the ability to support staff and families in their local areas.
Melanie states “It’s surprising how empty a park can look, but once you look closer you will uncover lots of waste, some of which is recyclable, that sits in the hedges and trees and is impacting our local wildlife. After a few hours of making a difference within the park, we felt a glow of self-satisfaction!”.
