ESOP Centre’s Letter to the Chancellor on Proposed Changes to CGT
The ESOP Centre have recently written to the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak urging him not to ‘punish employee shareholders’ by ‘slashing the Capital Gains Tax (CGT) exemption allowance.’
This is a key issue with a potentially vast impact on Employee Share Schemes and it is imperative that the Chancellor consider this before the introduction of any CGT changes. As such we are pleased to see the ESOP Centre proactively seeking to raise awareness with the Government.
The full letter and accompanying press release can be viewed on the Centre’s website.
