UK Data Protection Rules
The UK Data Protection Rules have now been adopted as adequate by the European Commission, meaning they are considered fit for EU purposes and that the UK will not be treated as a ‘third country’ under the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This ruling will allow the continued flow of data between the EU and UK without the requirement of additional security sanctions.
The ruling was made only days before the 30th June deadline and will come as a huge relief to UK companies.
